Beautiful experiences between village and city
An aperitif between stately mansions, shopping under arches, a good Italian coffee and a detour to an exciting museum or an ancient castle - Lana, Meran and Bozen are a must for all culture lovers.
Our house was built by our grandfather in the late sixties, early seventies. Much from that time is still present today, because we keep what is good and complement it with new modern details.
In this day and age, where individuality is often disregarded, we want to be a small but fine exception, a HEART piece for retro lovers. We have attached importance to gentle renovation in all the conversions in and around our house, so that the flair of yesteryear is preserved.
In the years 1968-70 our grandfather Luis Egger (1920 - 1983) had the Braunsbergerhof built for his wife Anna Kiem-Egger (1920 - 2006) in the most beautiful panoramic position above Lana. At the time, Luis was a fruit wholesaler and owner of the well-known Lanahof inn in the centre of Lana.
The architect who planned the Braunsbergerhof was ahead of his time at the time and it so happened that some hoteliers looked at our house and took it as a design reference for their own renovations.
Our mother Irene Egger-Herz ran the business with great diligence and always with great dedication and attention to detail for ten years together with her mother, and for another ten years alone. In 1989 our father Peter Herz joined the business and since 2018 we children, Veronika and Hannes, have continued to run the ***s-Hotel Braunsbergerhof with much heart and passion.
