Culture and
Mediterranean flair

Experience culture – Hotel Braunsbergerhof in Lana

Recreation, nature, sights and varied events go hand in hand in Lana. And the surrounding towns and cities such as Meran and Bozen have many an experience in store for you. We will be happy to give you a few insider tips so that you can plan your holiday according to your wishes. Sometimes quiet and secluded, sometimes in the middle of the hustle and bustle - it will certainly not be boring.

Lana, a beautiful place for new experiences

Our charming village of Lana has much to offer - alpine and Mediterranean, rural and cultural. Especially in the summer months, village life really blossoms into life at the numerous events, such as the weekly "Long Thursdays", the open-air plays in summer and the LANA Jazz Days.

Already in spring you can sit outside and enjoy an ice cream, stroll leisurely from shop to shop and always discover something new. The Schnatterbeck Altar in Niederlana, for example, is worth seeing. This magnificent gilded winged altar is considered the largest in the entire Alpine region.

Aperitivo in the spa town of Meran

Hardly any other South Tyrolean city exudes as much Alpine-Mediterranean flair as Meran. The spa town between palm trees and snow-capped peaks, castles, palaces and magnificent residences is known for its shops and boutiques, for the nice bars and cafés, for the late Gothic “Laubengasse” and the beautiful promenades along the river Passer. You can reach Meran from the Hotel Braunsbergerhof easily and in a short time by bus or car.

The Gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle

Anyone who speaks of Meran thinks at the same moment of the famous gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle: of the more than 80 garden landscapes that extend over 12 hectares in the form of a natural amphitheatre over a height difference of 100 metres. Flowers, trees and shrubs from all over the world grow here.

The castle where Sissi once resided is now home to the Touriseum - the National Museum of Tourism. You can reach the gardens of Trauttmansdorff Castle by bus or car and on foot via a hiking trail from Meran. And after the excursion, you can fall contentedly into a cosy bed and dream.

A Touch of
Bella Italia

Bozen is the centre for culture and language exchange and a popular destination for excursions. Not only because of the museums such as the South Tyrol Museum of Archaeology with the famous Iceman, but also because of the famous fruit market, a coffee in the Piazza Walther or a visit to a restaurant in the centre of Bozen.

We would be happy to give you a few tips to plan your day trip to the capital. You can reach Bozen by car or train, but you can also cycle south along the Etschradweg cycle path and return by train.
